How We Ship Your Order
How We Ship Your Order
Every order from Kesté Pizza Go is made in our Manhattan kitchen and shipped frozen with ice, nationwide, whether it is pizza, pasta, dessert or burrata. This page explains how your order is shipped, how much it costs, when it arrives, and how to handle each kind of product once it lands. When you are ready to order, start with our full pizza menu.
Each item is individually wrapped and shipped frozen with ice, then sent 2-day by UPS or FedEx so it arrives still frozen or very cold. We use regular ice, not dry ice: the ice is there to keep everything cold enough to refreeze on arrival, nothing more. The same logistics carry every order, whether the box holds a Neapolitan pizza, a tray of frozen Italian pasta, a dessert or a burrata.
A common question about mail-order frozen food is whether it travels with dry ice. Ours does not. For a 2-day shipment, regular ice keeps everything cold enough to go straight back into the freezer on arrival, without the extra handling that dry ice requires. Dry ice is frozen carbon dioxide: it runs colder but turns to gas as it warms and needs careful handling, and it is simply not necessary for the transit times we use. If any solid ice is left in your box, do not touch it with bare hands, and let it melt before discarding.
All orders received by 3:00 PM ET Monday through Thursday are processed and shipped the same business day, before 5:00 PM. Orders placed after 3:00 PM ET on Thursday are processed and shipped the following Monday, since we do not ship on Saturday or Sunday. Shipping times and costs are calculated at checkout. Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email from UPS or FedEx with your tracking information, so please check your inbox and your spam folder for it.
For the domestic USA, 2-day shipping is free on orders over $81, and $29.99 on orders below $81. For Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico, 2-day shipping is $29.99 on orders above $81 and $59.99 on orders below $81. The exact cost for your address is always shown at checkout before you pay, so there are no surprises after the order is placed.
When the box arrives, move everything into the freezer straight away, burrata included. What happens next depends on what you ordered. Pizzas rest at room temperature for 30 minutes, then bake at 500°F for 2:30 to 3:15 minutes in a home oven. Lasagna and cannelloni move to the fridge the day before, or sit out for 3 hours, and then heat in the microwave for a few minutes. Most of the Italian desserts thaw in the fridge the day before serving, while the burrata thaws in the fridge a day ahead and then rests in warm water for 5 minutes before you plate it. Every package carries its own instructions, so check the label for exact times and temperatures.
Move each item into the freezer as soon as it arrives and keep it there until the day you plan to serve it, so there is no rush to use everything the day it lands. Avoid letting something thaw and then refreezing it several times, as that is what affects texture. The same storage logic runs across the catalog, covering the pizzas as well as the meat and cheese selection, where the burrata waits in the freezer like everything else.
Kesté Pizza Go ships across the continental United States, plus Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico at the rates above. At this time we ship within the US only, and every parcel travels on the same 2-day logistics whether it is heading a few states over or across the country. Wherever it goes, your order is packed to arrive cold and ready for your freezer.
Orders placed after 3:00 PM ET on Thursday, and any order placed from Friday to Sunday, are processed the following Monday, since we do not ship on weekends. With 2-day shipping, a frozen pizza order placed on Friday usually reaches you by Wednesday. If you are planning a dinner for a specific day, ordering Monday to Thursday before 3:00 PM ET gives you the most predictable arrival.
Yes, as long as it is still cold. The ice in the box is there to keep each pizza cool enough to go back into your freezer, so a pie that feels slightly soft at the edges is fine. USDA guidance says frozen food that still holds ice crystals, or has stayed at 40°F or below, can be safely refrozen. Refreeze it once, then follow the usual 30-minute rest before baking.
Yes. Every gluten free item is wrapped on its own and packed apart from products that contain gluten, so it stays protected for the whole trip. The gluten free dough is also prepared in a separate area of our Manhattan kitchen, and our gluten free page explains how we handle it before, during and after baking.
