The pizza Marinara is the oldest Neapolitan classic: tomato sauce, oregano, fresh garlic, basil and extra virgin olive oil on a 12-inch hand-stretched dough. No cheese, fully vegan, a recipe Naples has eaten since before the Margherita.

What is the difference between the Marinara and the Margherita?

The Marinara has no cheese. It is dressed with tomato, garlic, oregano, basil and extra virgin olive oil. The Margherita adds mozzarella to the tomato and basil base. Both are built on the same Neapolitan dough and the same 12 inch round format.

Does the Marinara contain dairy?

No. The recipe has no cheese and no other dairy ingredient: the dough, tomato, garlic, oregano, basil and extra virgin olive oil are the whole build. The product page carries the VE label. How do I cook the Marinara at home?

Remove the pizza from the freezer and let it sit at room temperature for 30 minutes. Preheat your home oven to 500°F and bake the pizza on a baking sheet for 2:30 to 3:15 minutes. Since there is no cheese on top, check the cornicione toward the end of the bake.

The other night, my wife and I shared the 1st of these that I had ordered as our dinner's first course at home. WE both were tempted to heat up another, it was so good. She cannot eat dairy, so this pizza is the perfect choice for her especially, simple, high quality ingredients make for an awesome flavor. Ci ha portato di nuovo a Napoli!

Great Pizza For Vegans

This is a good pizza. I have been to Naples before and this pizza is of similar quality. The only issue I have is shipping time. I received the pizzas after 2 days of shipping instead of overnight. This is not good for frozen food items. I had to reduce my rating due to this issue.
